Did you know that you can die from a broken heart?
Most people, of course, don’t.
But the reality is, when your heart is broken into pieces, you can feel dead inside, even if you were the one who ended the relationship.
It’s almost impossible not to feel hurt, feel lost in some cases, or maybe feel betrayed, depending on how things went down.
One thing is for sure, if you were taken for granted in the relationship, you’ll feel used.
Notice how I kept using that one word… the one that is the reason we suffer so much from heartbreak..
Feeeeeeeel…
The truth is, feelings are what make moving on so hard. They are what made the relationship happen and what makes it so hard to detach from that same relationship.
Whether it’s the feelings you once felt making it so difficult to leave
or the feelings you are now facing which keep reminding you of the bad, all while making you feel like a failure, sometimes weak or stupid.
Feelings make or break us in many cases, and dealing with them is something we must be serious about before we get into a new relationship.
Processing and engaging with all types of feelings is every part of trying to move on and leaving that dead relationship.
Well, how do you handle feelings?
Let’s start by how you don’t handle them.
You don’t suppress feelings, you don’t misdirect them, you don’t let them run you either.
Now, when it comes to handling them to get to the other side where your heart no longer feels broken and getting over them is no longer a priority…
You have to feel them, you have to direct them, you have to let them run their course without letting them run you off the course.
Ashes of Her Love is a guide to help you do that. It’s a poetry book all about the feelings women endure and overcome. Things men experience as well; but, particularly women.
When you feel that your sacrifices weren’t enough, Ashes of Her Love will be there for you. When you feel like you miss him, it’ll be there to remind you why. When you feel like going back, it’ll be there to keep you from reaching.
Tanya, who gave Ashes a Five Star review said:
“This book was like somebody reached into my soul and pulled out everything that happened to me in the last year but with a solution. It has let me move on and helped me pick my head back up.”
See, Tanya was in a relationship that wasn’t working and she had to deal with the break up, but that wasn’t all. Her ex kept going back which made the feelings harder to handle. Ashes of Her Love helped her keep him away.
And Nalini S. who started her review by recommending the book to anyone who has been in an unhappy relationship added, “This book helps you validate your feelings.”
Ashes of Her Love is a collection of poems that will help you process the feelings, help validate the good ones and not fall victim to the other ones. It will help you open your eyes and find the strength to move on. It achieves this shift differently by giving life to some of your innermost thoughts and questions using the power of poetry. Because poetry can connect with you and you do not have to decipher.
