Don’t be afraid of this love.

You don’t have to be afraid of this here,
you don’t have to be afraid of this love.

You don’t have to worry about this smile. There is no homework to do because there is no hard lesson you will be forced to learn.

You don’t have to keep that guard up,
making sure your heart is always out of reach.

You don’t have to be a colder version of yourself, hoping that you will warm up to me.

My heart walks on eggshells as well when it sees the possibility of love with someone.
It becomes anxious to climb out of the uncertainty and catch a glimpse of what is going to be.

I’ve been you before,
I’ve been through some things before.
If anything,
I am trying to actually complete this journey that I’ve been on already.
But I want one that never ends,
one where I don’t have to wear a mask that keeps my loving soul in the shadows.

You don’t have to be afraid,
I have no tricks up my sleeves.
I’m just trying to love someone who’s been looking for the love I’ve been looking for.

It’s hard to trust someone, especially after you have been through trauma and a lot of hell, you just can’t feel that everyone is going to be the same, you have to give and love and not judge, or life is going to be miserable. This is a wonderful book. I pray for everyone that has been through heartbreak and trauma, we will make it, advice is easy to give but not so easy to take, all we can do is wake each morning and give it a new try, put one foot in front of the other and start new !

This touched my heart. I finally found my penguin, but because of all the men who treated bad, I am dealing with the fear of being truly loved.

Wow! It’s as if you are in my heart; in my head; in the words I want to speak.
